Hi Mark,I came across your site searching for a Nebraska company to recommend to my clients as I get several inquiries for the Omaha and Lincoln area. I first want to say that I think your work is very, very good and I do not use that term lightly. Good videographers are surprisingly difficult to find these days as I have trouble recommending people up here as well. I just spoke with a groom to be and will be passing along your information, hopefully which he will use to book you.…I looked at your price sheet. Your work is way to good for your price range. I would increase your prices right away, perhaps nearly doubling them. Your work is for sure in the top tier of videographers and you deserve to be compensated for it. Your weddings should start around $3000.…Anyway, by no means was I attempting to tell you how to run your business as you seem to have a great hold on everything right now, but just wanted to let you know I will be recommending you to some clients. One thing that really stood out to me was the recommendation to raise, maybe even double our prices! And because of the quality of our work at that. I love that this is where we could be if we wanted. But I think back to my wedding and how amazing it would have been if I could have hired a couple like Wedding Memories of Omaha, with a package as full as the Platinum package starting at $1200. I just think it would have been so awesome and we probably could have squeezed it into our budget. But for $2400 (doubled prices), I don’t think we could have justified it.
So part of our mission here is to make a high quality of work available to more brides because we really believe everyone should have wedding videography and it’s just so amazing if we can make that possible. That’s whhy we’re not raising our prices. It’s not because we couldn’t – the experienced videographer in the letter above charges near what he recommends we charge. What it comes down to for us is the wedding couples and their memories.
