It won't change your life, and your kids will probably still look at it and say "Wow, high definition, that's so early 21st century." But it's actually four times the resolution of standard definition, and it will look better on a high definition television which are designed to sharpen edges and create high contrast pictures. Since wedding videos are for years down the line, I'd recommend having yours in HD so you can feel just a little bit less old in ten years.
